Vicks Soothing Vapors Plug-In Waterless Vaporizer

Ugh.  I’m sick.  I’m SO stinkin’ sick.  I’ve been in bed for three days.  I didn’t get to enjoy Thanksgiving because my nose is stuffed, my throat is raw and I’m on FIRE.  So now it’s Saturday.  Ryan took the kids to his mothers and I’m in bed.

I am the most cliche sick person right now.  I’m lying down with the laptop on me and water by my side.  On my nightstand there’s about 3000 tissues, a bag of cough drops and some Vapo Rub.  I’ve also slapped a dollop of it on my chest and I’m attempting to breathe in the menthol love.

Thank goodness for the maker’s of Vicks products.  I was recently given the opportunity to test out some of them and they couldn’t have come at a better time. One of the items I have received is the  Vicks Soothing Vapors Plug-In Waterless Vaporizer.

While I love using Vicks products when I’m sick, I’m a mover when I sleep and usually rub anything I put on myself off.  By day, I’m practically the Vapo Rub mascot.  I have about 30 bottles throughout my house.  It’s my go-to medication whenever we’re stuffy.

At night however, Vicks has this handy little Plug-In that gives you all the relief of Vicks Menthol Vapors without using water.  You just pop in one of the Vapor pads (It comes with 5 and more are available for purchase), then plug it right into your wall.  I like to plug it in to the outlet closest to my bed.  For the next 8 hours, the heat from the pad releases soothing menthol vapors into the air to help breathe better.

I’m using one right now actually.  It’s plugged in right next to me.  It has a little night light on it, which is handy since I’ve been in bed all day and I’m going to have to change the one I put in this evening later when Ryan’s sleeping. The night light will enable me to pop the old vapor pad out and put the new one in without turning on the lights and waking him up.

If you’re in a house with children, it’s probably a good idea to keep these on hand.  At only $7.99, they do wonders to help congestion when you can’t use (or don’t have) a humidifier.

This winter, we just can seem to shake all the nasty going around.  As soon as I feel better, someone else gets sick and sure enough, I’ll get hit again.  I’m just glad to know I have products I can rely on to bring relief to me and my family.
