Home Farming – Join The Movement With Triscuit & WIN! CLOSED

Home Farming - Join The Movement With Triscuit

I don’t eat crackers, I’m not into chips and I have a limited cookie selection that I enjoy.  There is only one brand I can’t resist.  Triscuit.

My mother LOVES Triscuit.  My whole life, there’s always been a box around.  We like to put pepperoni on them and munch away.  If you want to have an explosion of awesome taste, take the Baked Whole Grain Wheat Rosemary & Olive Oil one and pair that with pepperoni.  *DROOL*

I can seriously sit down and have that for dinner and be happy.  It’s a hit at parties.  It’s what I buy for me and hide with the few other things I want people to keep their hands off of.

Recently, I was contacted by Triscuit to talk to all of you about the farming movement.  I was sent two boxes of Triscuits and a $20 visa gift card to give away to one of my readers.  Well, I’m giving the gift card away.  I already ate the Triscuits.

Triscuit is working with Urban Farming, a non-profit organization, to create 50 new community-based home farms throughout the United States. As part of the Home Farming Movement, Triscuit has included plantable herb seed cards in 4 million boxes of Triscuits to help encourage people to grow their own vegetables and herbs! Triscuit has also created a website that includes information about growing vegetables at home, a crop guide, community forums, and lots more!

I don’t have a green thumb, as they say.  Plants wilt when I look at them.  My mother, however is AMAZING with gardening.  I was sent two boxes, the Original Triscuits that come with basil seeds and the Reduced Fat Triscuits that come with dill seeds. My mother didn’t hesitate to get those seeds.  She was so excited to plant them in her garden and she’s going to keep me posted as they progress.

I grew up on a farm.  We grow and pick our own fruits and veggies and my mother’s house has a beautiful garden of flowers, plants that can be used for cooking and she is just magnificent.  I don’t know how she does it.  I take one look at a plastic plant and it wilts.

I know I have some readers with organic skills I wish I could possess and to you I am offering a $20 gift card on behalf of Triscuit so you can pick up a few boxes of your own and any other supplies you might need to get your garden started!

Below are some things you can do to win.  Remember, leave one comment for each action taken.  Each action counts as one entry (so if you follow me on Twitter and subscribe to my RSS, leave TWO separate comments.  If you put them in one comment, it only counts as one). The winner will be chosen from a random comment left using Random.org.  Contest ends Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 7:00 PM EST.  Winner will be notified on this site and by email within 48 hours. For a full list of rules, read this. Good luck!

Here’s what you can do to win.  Complete any or all of these and leave a comment for each one to increase your chances of winning a $20 gift card from Triscuit!
