Prepare Kids for School at Toys”R”Us!

*Sigh*  School started! Yay! *sniff*  I’m so happy my baby boy has started Kindergarten! *wah*  We’ve been waiting for this day for so long, we’re all so excited!

Who do I think I’m kidding?  My BABY just started school!  My Baby! Now he’s going to grow up and leave me.  He’s going to leave me alone and find a cooler place to stay and meet someone and probably move out of state and I’ll stalk him so I can see my grand-babies. His new life started today!

*Ahem*

Well, so in sunny South Carolina in the town of Fort Mill, school has started.  I have two boys, ages five and two and even though they’re both used to “Mother’s Morning Out” programs and summer camps (daycare lol) and whatnot, Kindergarten is huge.  Fur everybody.

I live on a cul-de-sac.  Every single house has children whose age range is from two to eight. About six of them are all  four years old and they all started school today.

Normally, Jake wouldn’t have cared.  He loved the daycare on the cruise we just went on and like I said, he’s been in various programs since he was two but I think just because this is REAL school and every single one of us has been talking it up for a month, all the kids were a bit tweaked today.

Jake was a lucky little man because the good people at Toys R Us generously sent him off to school with a spiderman backpack and lunch box.  He was the coolest kid there (according to me).

Yep.  He was sent there with those two beauties.  All the kids were jealous (I imagine. I didn’t ask but if I was a kid, I’m sure they would have been).  He said he had a totally super cool and awesomely rad first day of school.  He said it was “Off the chain” and that he was a little nervous having to take the bus home, he liked it a lot because he saw all the kids in the neighborhood (they’re all in different classes, so they don’t see each other often) and he also said “It was awesome Dude!  The bus driver went really fast!”

I might need to see who this bus driver is.  After all, we are in NASCAR territory (I live near Lowe’s Motor Speedway).  I didn’t drop Jake off this morning but I heard he was nervous and that he did cry a little but when he jumped off that bus he was all kinds of happy.  He said he had a great day, met new friends and has no idea what their names are and that he’s excited to go back tomorrow.

I’d like to give Toys R Us a very big thank you for helping make getting ready for school easier.  I know most of the country is starting later on so I’d like to close this review and let the sponsor take over from here -
