Sure Fit – Slipcovers And Ready Made Furniture Covers

See that face?  That adorable, innocent looking face?  My wonderful little 4 1/2 year old baby boy who is the light of my life (along with his 21 month old brother, of course)?  You see the couch I bought just as my little angel was born?

Yeah.  He destroyed it.

In his short, yet obviously entertaining little life, that child has taken every opportunity to destroy everything I own.  Carpets need constant cleaning (I’m WAY overdue), the walls had to have that special paint that made it easy to wipe the destruction off and I have no idea what my children have done to my couches, but they gave it their all.

Right now, I’m watching them climb to the top of it and take turns jumping off face first into the main cushions.  I’ve caught them sitting there, entranced in whatever cartoon that may be on at the time eating their morning snack when suddenly, instead of using the napkin I’ve provided, my children wiped their hands along the arm of the couch.

Take a look at the arms of that couch.

As soon as I moved into the home I currently live in, the house of my dreams, I knew I wanted to try Sure Fit Slipcovers.  I’ve tried other brands and found them hard to put on, less attractive than the ad would display and a huge waste of money.

Lucky for me, Sure Fit wanted to give me the opportunity to try their product out.   The reason I wanted it so badly is because while I can wash the cushions, the rest of my couch is impossible to clean.  Sure fit comes in colors that work for my room decor (in fact, it’s nearly an exact match) and I can just take it off and wash it when the monsters – er, I mean children- attack.

Here’s a little from the company-

Once known for manufacturing made-to-order “summertime millionaires” in the early and mid-century, Sure Fit has come a long way now marking its 95 year anniversary.  The premier furniture cover brand is applying its long history of innovation in the segment to produce a new line of products.

Popular new innovations include:

  • Stretch Slipcovers: Sure Fit’s stretch slipcovers have memory stretch fabric and all-around elastic to provide a clean, sleek look that goes on easily and stays in place.
  • Travel: For use on planes and buses, the travel slipcovers keep a protective barrier between you and your seat. They feature a headrest pillow pocket, stretch fabric and a travel pouch.

Pet Cover: Pet Throws are an easy and budget-friendly way to protect your furniture from pet fur or stains. One piece pet covers simply drape over your furniture and protect the seat, back and arms from pet wear and tear.

Design-forward: Sure Fit’s new line of designer looks may be a more affordable look that makes sense in your space. Stylish designs such as the faux leather or mid-century textured Largo cover are great alternatives to spicing up a room, without breaking the bank and buying new furniture.

In addition, all covers are machine washable allowing for long-lasting elegance throughout your home and on the go.

As I watch these children run wild in my home, in their jammies, at 3:17 on a  Sunday afternoon (Hey, it’s the playoffs.  That calls for jammies.), I’m SO grateful that I tried Sure Fit Slipcovers out.  Watching these animals – shoot, I did it again- CHILDREN run and play, jumping wildly on my couches and everywhere else in my home (one just started crying.  Super.) without the paranoia that I’m going to have to clean up some random mess that will undoubtedly leave a stain, I know that all I have to do is simply remove the Sure Fit cover it took me three minutes to put on and toss it in the washing machine and I’ll have a whole  new couch again.

Don't let them fool you, it's a RARE moment.
