What Propel Has Done For Me

propel

Normally, doing a review for flavored water wouldn’t be something I would consider but recently there have been some changes in my life and I need water more than ever.

Again and again, I tell everyone about the medical issues I’ve been having.  Well, I just don’t have it in me to talk about them again.  What I will say is that I was put on a very strict regimen of medication that I am to take three times a day-every day- at the exact same time.

Besides having to deal with the side effects of weight gain from all the meds combined, one of the medications prescribed causes dehydration.   There’s only so much water a person can drink without getting bored, and I’m a water drinker.

Did I mention the weight gain?  I know I did, but UGH.  I’m one of the founders of the fabulously popular Wii Mommies Community and it really is my job to be thin.  I lost a tremendous amount of weight and there is NO WAY I’m going through the humiliation I felt when I was heavier.

I’m taking part in the EA SPORTS Active 6 week challenge and so I’m diligently working out but my doctor said that since my body is already losing water, I need to be sure to take in as much as I can stand if I’m going to do an intense twice weekly workout.

If you’d like a little “TMI” (Too Much Information), I’ve got some for ya.  I can’t poop.  I am SO dehydrated that my stomach is often rock hard and I suffer for sometimes up to three days at a time.

That’s why when I was asked to take a look at Propel and what it has to offer, I gave a resounding yes.

Before I tell you what Propel has done for me, I’m going to give you an overview of what they’re up to.

Propel has modernized its look, packaging, flavors and portfolio offerings including:

  • NEW, great-tasting blueberry pomegranate flavor to join grape, kiwi-strawberry, berry and lemon in the Propel ready to drink flavor line up.
  • Updated 500 mL packaging, using 33% less plastic and 30% less label than the previous 500 mL bottle; from an energy saving standpoint, this packaging change is the equivalent of taking 6,800 cars off the road (or eliminating 37,450 metric tons of greenhouse gases) a year.

In addition, they’ve added two new sub-lines:

  • Propel Body®â€“ available in peach mango, Propel Body contains 10% of the Daily Value of fiber per 8 fl oz serving. A high fiber diet helps fill you up. Propel Body contains 20 calories per 8 fl oz serving. The additional 10 calories come from ingredients with fiber.

·         Propel Mind®â€“ available in black cherry, Propel Mind contains antioxidant vitamin E plus choline, an essential nutrient for the brain

First of all, it was hard enough trying to hoard the products I was sent to review so that I could use them.  My husband said that the Black Cherry Propel Mind is the “greatest thing” he’s ever tasted and we have an ongoing joke that he has both long and short term memory loss, so he had dibs on that product.

Propel Body just about saved me.  Like I said, I had a bit of a pooping issue so drinking Propel Body gave me the fiber I needed to help “move things along” and also gave me the water my body needs to keep up with the amount I lose in sweat from working out and peeing because of those stupid pills.

I also love the Propel powder mix.  I just add it to a glass of water and I have the flavor I need to satisfy any cravings.  Because I lose so much water daily, I can’t take any chances on drinking anything else like soda, coffee or beer (I miss beer).  People have suggested those hydration drinks but my doctor says water so it’s water I drink.

Propel has quite a bit going on for you to see on their website.   HERE is their sitemap showing you all the things their website offers.  From helpful phone apps to details on how you can help fight Breast Cancer, Propel is really trying to help all of us streamline our life and health.
