Peter Rabbit Organic Fruit Pouches

Peter Rabbit Organics LogoPeter Rabbit Organics - family shot (Low Res)

I was blog surfing a few weeks ago and while at one of my favorite blogs, I noticed they wrote a stellar review on the Peter Rabbit Organic Fruit Puree pouches.  I left her a comment about how I thought that it’d be perfect for me and lucky for me, I was contacted by the company itself to try them for myself!

About a week later, a few pouches of the various flavored organic fruit pouches arrived at my door.  They lasted all of about 5 minutes because both of my children AND my husband tore right into them.

I don’t allow juices and candy in my house (unless I’m hormonal but then I don’t share).  My children consider a breakfast bar to be a “candy bar” and drink water instead of juice.  They have plenty of fruit, though, and while these organic pouches aren’t a drink, they are a tasty treat when chilled.

All the Peter Rabbit Organic products are all natural, with no added salt or sugar.  The no-mess pouch makes it so my super messy children can be trusted with this in their hands (although it didn’t come out of their mouths until it was empty lol).

It’s a great first food for your young child, or a great treat chilled for everyone else.  It’s exactly like it sounds.  Fruit puree.  The come in apple and grape, strawberry and banana, and mango, banana and orange.   They all have a twist on lid, so if your child doesn’t want to finish his puree, you can put the lid back on and save it in the fridge for later.

I’ll tell you a little trick I did.  I put a few pouches in the freezer so it was kind of like Italian Ice for my kids.  It’s about a thousand degrees in sunny South Carolina, and I want my kids to have a nutritious snack after an afternoon of play outdoors.  Each serving fills a fifth of the daily requirement for fruit and I don’t feel guilty taking a nip off it when I was a snack myself!
