iPod Speaker Review and Game Pen Review and Giveaway!

lego_ipod_speakers

Check this out!  The innovative people from Vat19, “Purveyors of Curiously Awesome Products” have created these fantastic iPod Building Block Speakers that combine modern technology with the retro style we all grew up with and love.

The timeless Lego, often found underfoot as you wade through your child’s play room as you gather up laundry for cleaning has been turned into something stylish and useful! Just be careful to not let your little ones get a hold of this cool gadget!

Available in 7 colors (hot pink not shown), the iPod Building Block Speakers from Vat19 turns any iPod with a docking port into a portable ‘Boom Box’ (with the exception of the newer versions of the iPod Touch which have their own built in speakers.

Volume is controlled by the two middle buttons on the bottom row and now you can listen to your music anywhere and look pretty kick ass while you do!

Also from Vat19, These Classic Game Pens combine business and pleasure all into one.

Seriously, how cool are these?  These fully functional pens are well-balanced and lightweight, making it easy and enjoyable to write with but also fun to play in your down time!  To turn it into a pen, simply turn the rubberized grip section of the pen and turn it towards you.

To play Operation, remove the top of the pen near the head to reveal a pair of tweezers to operate just like the classic game of our youth.  Before you play, be sure to remove the tab sticking out of the back, that will activate the sensor for play.  You then use the tweezers to pull the items from the body (don’t worry, they’re attached to wire so you won’t find pieces scattering about) and be careful when you do or the pen will buzz and his nose with light up bright red with alarm!

The Etch-A-Sketch Game pen has no removable parts, but instead has an exact replicate of the classic came right at the top of the pen.  Use the two controls to create whatever you’d like and simply shake it to erase and start all over!

Finally, there’s the Boggle Game Pen, which has a sand timer inside that can be removed by taking the top cap off and tipping it out.  The pen is fully functional with all parts removed and you can Boggle til your hearts content with this fun word game!

Want to have some fun of your own?  Well the generous people from Vat19 want to give one of my lucky readers their very own set of game pens! Come on, you KNOW you want to play!  My favorite is the Operation, I still jump every time I mess up and his nose goes off!
