Baby Gifts are Yours for the Making with Makaboo.com
It’s amazing how it seems that everyone I know manages to get pregnant at the same time. There will be a few months of regular life and BAM! Five women are expecting.
Everyone should know by now I can’t have anymore babies but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to review baby gear! Talk about awesome, I get to have the joy of giving my expecting friends and family the best gifts on the planet for free!
When the folks over at Mâkaboo.com offered to have me review their product line, I was THRILLED with their timing. My cousin just have birth to a beautiful baby boy and he was born with medical complications. He was a preemie with blood in his lungs.
Everyone wants to send along that perfect gift but in a situation as delicate as this, I wanted to send something truly special. The offer to review the Mâkaboo.com line of personalized baby gifts came as soon as we knew our new addition was going to be okay and I wanted to send her something truly special.
In order to ensure her privacy as requested, I’m going to leave their names out but I am a firm believer in converter gowns. We are all worried about SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and putting our child to sleep in a converter gown helps reduce that risk.
I was so happy that I could not only send along a gift that would make the baby more comfortable, but give my cousin peace of mind when her little man is sleeping.
See how totally cute that is? Durable, machine washable and sing you can personalize it, it gives that extra added touch by allowing you to personalize your gift!
Because I am totally awesome and I have no ability to properly express the message the company truly has to convey, I always like to allow a word from our sponsor-

ST. LOUIS, MO Mâkaboo.com (pronounced MAKE-A-BOO), a new Website for classic and fine quality baby gifts, makes personalization fun, fast and trouble-free. Shoppers get to design their own gifts and see exactly what theyll look like before they click buy. Moms and gift buyers also have the option of embroidering any of Mâkaboos 54 playful iconsfrom a teddy bear, chickadee and cub to a baby monkey, kitten and ladybug. Whats more, all gifts include personalization and adorable packaging at no additional cost.
Mâkaboo was launched by St. Louis native, Cindy Teasdale McGowan, in late 2009. With 23 nieces and nephews and a career in web development at Snapfish, among other reputable companies, McGowan wanted to: create a site that carried recognized brands known for their timeless simplicity; make personalization an easy click of the mouse process allowing consumers to see exactly what they are getting before purchasing; and add a bit of whimsy to the personalization experience by designing a new imaginative Mâkaboo icon every few weeks.
I always wanted to purchase special and unique baby gifts, but the only sites I could find looked unreliable and I could never tell what the quality of the products or embroidery would be, says McGowan. I was working on photo presents at Snapfish, where people could use their pictures to create a heart-felt gift, and one day it just clicked. Our business model is to offer the lines moms already know and love; to include embroidery and darling packaging in our cost; and to give you a fun, engaging experience online that you wont find at other major retailers.
Mâkaboo brands and gifts include: Angel Dear, Kissy Kissy, Swaddle Designs, 3 Marthas and Creative Containers. Visitors can choose from the highest-quality, personalized newborn, baby and toddler baskets, blankets, pillows, bibs, converter gowns, hats, hooded towels, burpies and hooded jackets. Price points vary from $14.99 for a personalized baby hat to $149.99 for an embroidered Moses basket.
For personalization, gift-buyers can select and view in real-time font, embroidery, color and placement of the baby name or Mâkaboo icon. What Mâkaboo customers see on their computer screens is what they get at delivery.

@Momspective Hello there!!
When being born, do your best to be patient. Remember: you are not yet understood, and your cries may be dismissed as ‘inexperience.’

Wow, thanks for publishing this article. I’m a real enthusiast and enjoy reading your blog. Believe it or not it’s generally quite difficult to find this information written with any real sense of quailty like it is here. Thanks Again.
I went over to Makaboo and checked out their stuff. It’s really unique, which is so rare sometimes. Great review and thanks for the recommendation!
