The little things you do for the ones you love
What are some of the little things YOU do for love? Do you snuggle up and read to your child every night? Surprise your wife with flowers? Have a special routine that means a lot to your family?
Last week, my joy came out of taking my kids to the park. Josh is just starting to walk, and seeing the gleam in his eye on the slide and swing while his older brother ran around laughing just filled me with a sense of peace and love.

My family does little things for me as well, to show their love. Last mother’s day, I woke to a beautiful porch swing for me to rock on with my kids and a greeting card that they signed all by themselves! Granted, the baby needed help, but it was adorable to see the little scribbles on the beautiful card showing me they care.
I’m blessed to have two wonderful little boys, and one of the most important things we do for love is to remain strong in our faith. To love each other and to love our God, we’ve formed a wonderful family tradition of attending mass together each week and having a peaceful lunch following it. It fills me with a sense of love and completion, knowing these little ones rely on me so much and that I could create such beautiful babies from the strong bond of love I have with my husband.
What are the little things you do for love? I’d love to hear your stories about you and your family or friends. Every little gesture is noticed, people truly appreciate the time taken to show that you care. Pick up the phone, send them a card or just give them a hug to let them know you care!

My mother in law bought lobster and crab cakes a while back. She couldn’t prepare it herself. She also knew that I could and would prepare it. I always am the first to offer to cook for the family! Mom knows she can rely on me just like you are relied on. BTW – I believe the family that prays together, says together and that has proven to be true in my life.

Oooh, I bake with the kids and let them trash my kitchen and don’t get spazzed ;0) I feel like that’s a LOT of love right there!

I enjoy reading books to my two oldest children while baby K is on my lap…even the hubby sits near us too, unless he is already snoring on the couch. It is amazing the LOVE you feel when you are doing something as simple as reading a book together on the family couch. The children’s eyes sparkle and you can tell they are truly happy and love to have your attention, even if it’s for a short children’s book.
