Beat The Heat With Lanacane’s Anti-Chafing Gel

Just in time for all your warm-weather activities, Lanacane™ Anti-Chafing Gel is now available in the United States

Ugh.  Thinking back to the days I used to walk around in shorts, I remember my thighs rubbing against each other and I’d be miserable because they’d hurt so bad.  The friction created by constantly rubbing your skin together is so uncomfortable.  I remember trying to use lotion to help with the friction and I wished there was a product on the market that would help me with this problem. Since I couldn’t find anything to help, I wore skirts to avoid the feeling of the shorts irritating my skin but in this summer heat because I felt like everyone could see the irritation and I was super embarrassed about it. Even wearing my cute little skirts caused irritation because of the stinkin’ heat making my thighs sweat, henceforth causing the same discomfort but with less embarrassment.

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I was offered a chance to review Lanacane’s newest product.   They’ve created an anti-chafing gel that will help solve that problem not just for me when I’m wearing shorts,  but for anytime I work out or just walk out the door down here in this South Carolina heat! I actually stopped wearing shorts because I remember the pain of feeling the cloth rubbing against my skin when I walked.  I started wearing skirts to avoid the annoyance of the cloth irritating me but even then my inner thighs were irritated in the summer months from sweating in this Southern heat. I don’t know what the weather’s like in your area but we’re reaching record highs here in Charlotte with the heat index shooting up into the 100′s.  Even the pools are getting too warm to cool us off.

Here’s what Lanicane is saying about their new product -

The temperatures are rising and before you know it, you’ll soon find yourself re-visiting the sandals and sunscreen… as well as more routine physical activities!  Did you know that as the temperatures increase, so do your chances of experiencing sore, raw skin due to chafing?  I’m contacting you on behalf of Combe, Inc., the maker of Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel, to inform you that in a recent study conducted nearly 33 million adults experienced chafing in the past year.

This fact should not stop you this summer! Have you set your fitness goals yet? Amy Gilberg, Mom, certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, says “You don’t have to go to a gym everyday to start getting in shape. Meet a friend for a walk or hit the neighborhood tennis court.” And as a Mother the running around never stops, so your workouts may even occur unintentionally. But whatever your fitness goals will be, it’s a good idea to know how to best treat this red, dry and itchy skin discomfort that may occur.

The good news is that just in time for all your warm-weather activities, Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel is now available in the United States. The non-greasy, moisture-proof gel dries clear on contact and provides long-lasting chafing prevention without staining your clothes… and safe for the kids to use too!  “Regardless of your fitness level, men and women can both experience chafing, especially between their thighs. Even kids can experience chafing playing sports or just enjoying some time on the playground,” Gilberg stresses.

In order to educate about this issue, Combe, Inc., the makers of Lancane™, have created an informative Web site filled with useful facts: www.lanacane.com. And to hear more from mother and trainer, Amy Gilberg, view this video.

I have to say, I really do like this product.  It goes on smoothly and it’s cool to feel it dry and makes your sking feel soft and smooth.  It was so smooth and silky that I couldn’t help dancing to that song “Maniac” from Flash Dacce to test it out, it was awesome.  I am genuinely impressed with this product.  It’s what I’ve wished for since I was 14, actually.  I remember being at the mall with my friends in my little shorts and my 90′s hair and my thighs were all read from the friction. I was told to try baby powder but that was good for all of five minutes.  Now with Lanacane’s Anti-Chafing Gel I can sport my cute little shorts and skirt all summer long without that annoying heat rash.  YAY!
