Hey there, everybody!  I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July for all of my readers in the U.S.A and for everyone else I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

My holiday celebration couldn’t have been better.  I live in South Carolina, where fireworks are legal to purchase and use.  Every year, all the folks in my small neighborhood donate money and the guys go crazy buying the best fireworks around.  Since it’s mighty hot outside at this time of year, the party usually starts around five o’clock in the evening.   To start, everyone sets up tents, tables and chairs and we even have a bounce house for the kids!

Oh, it was so amazing.  We had great people, tons of activities and fun and amazing food!   I was lucky enough to be chosen my Johnsonville to work on a very fun summer campaign that I’ll tell you about in just a little bit but they also provided us with some great grilling items for the festivities and coupons to try out some Johnsonville products!

Oh, it was just so much fun!  Some of my family came down from Upstate NY and my brother and his wife came in from Tennessee and it was just so great to be able to have them here with me to enjoy meeting my wonderful neighbors, fill up on all the wonderful foods (Thank you, Johnsonville!) and watch an AMAZING fireworks display.

Like I said before, it’s legal to buy and use stadium quality fireworks here in beautiful South Carolina and there is just no way to describe the show my neighbors put on.  Everyone donates what we can and some of the men in the neighborhood go out shopping for fireworks (I’m pretty sure it’s their favorite holiday) and then once the sun sets, the sky is filled with lights.  Not only from the fireworks we’re shooting off in our cul de sac, but fireworks from all the surrounding neighborhoods.  No matter where you looked, all you saw was a beautiful display of colors blasting through the air!  I took a picture but it surely doesn’t do it justice.

Isn’t that just amazing?!  Right in my own cul de sac! Everybody had a great time and I’m sad that it’s over but look forward to another great party next year!  I’m hoping I can get even more of my family and friends down here to see the show!
