Homedics Clean Water System – Shining A Light On Clean Water
I love water. I choose to drink water over everything else. I actually always feel guilty when I go out to eat, because water is what I want to drink, I’m not trying to be cheap. Honest!
Because I travel a lot and drink so much water, I can taste the difference in the various waters of the region. I also get nervous because of all the chemicals that may be in the water. I recently saw a commercial that said so many people have dumped expired medications in their toilet, it’s starting to filer into the nation’s water systems. THAT scares me.
I go to Upstate NY a lot to visit my family and my mother has a gigantic water filtration system. It makes the water taste fresh and crisp, but it’s very cumbersome. I have a filtration system built into my fridge but the water just doesn’t taste the way I’d like and the filters don’t last too long.
Enter the Homedics Restore Clean Water System.
Utilizing the germ-killing benefits of UVC light, HoMedics, the leader in health and wellness products, developed Restore®, a complete water purification system in an easy to use pitcher. Restore combines UV Clean technology to remove bacteria, viruses and microbial cysts with a filtration system to reduce heavy metals, chlorine (taste and odor), and some industrial and agricultural pollutants.

Homemedics sent me a free water filtration system to review and I have to say I’m impressed. Although the system takes some time to filter the water, I think it’s fantastic. I run my system in the evening (advice from my mother) and think that a slower filtration means better water quality. The water actually tastes better. It’s crisp and clean and so very refreshing.
Being a Wii Mommy, I’m always telling my readers and listeners of our radio show to “get their waters” and I’d feel much better about giving this advice if I knew they were giving themselves and their families a cleaner, healthier water to drink prior to and after working out.
This filtration system of course has to have the filter replaced, but you can find the filers for only $7.99, which is very much worth the cost of clean water.
The unit itself is listed for the suggested retail value of $99.99 and if you have any questions, you can find them on both Twitter and Facebook!

I love our R/O system, but the waste from it is a bit much. Again the water is fabulous.
This is a really good topic. I will always remember the Oprah show where the teenager did the study on restaurant water. It was really bad. The water that they serve was actually worse than the water from the toilet in some locations.

This sounds like a great product. I worry about my water – I even had it tested for lead. I just might save up for this!
