My Review Of Chili’s Bar and Grill

So here’s my story.  A while back, I was told I was going to have a major operation on my throat that would prevent me from eating solids for four weeks.  Just before that operation, Chili’s contacted me about reviewing their restaurant.  When I accepted that offer, my thought was to make Chili’s my first solid meal after the operation.

Due to doctor incompetence, for lack of a better word, the operation never happened.  Since I have THE BEST luck in the world (note the sarcasm),  I had an accident recently that had me on liquids for six days.  When I recovered, I celebrated my recovery by going to Chili’s.

I couldn’t have picked a better time or setting.  The door was opened for me as I arrived with my husband and we were immediately sat in a comfortable spot and offered our menus.  Shortly thereafter our server, Matthew, arrived to talk about the specials and took our drink orders.

I can say that in all of my dining experiences, I have never had service so excellent as the service I experienced that day.  Mind you, I go out to eat quite a bit, especially since I travel often and customer service is key to an enjoyable experience, so I know what I’m saying when I say this.

I’m a fairly simplistic person when it comes to eating.   I basically eat like a five year old.  Chicken tenders and fries.  Of course, I have to have the honey mustard for my chicken but I also need just the right kind of barbecue sauce for my fries.  Matthew was so intent on making sure I had the perfect sauce since I told him it was my first meal that he brought out several for me to try.

My husband decided to try out the ribs and I’ve never seen a plate of ribs so huge.  It immediately got the old theme song in my head, “I want my baby back, baby back, baby back ribs” and it was stuck there for HOURS, so thanks for THAT Chili’s.

To share with you their confidence in their restaurant, Chili’s is about to launch a brand new website called “Shout Out To Eat Out”

What this means is that Chili’s wants you to upload a 10-30 second video telling them why you don’t want to cook tonight and they will have a new $50 Chili’s gift card winner every day for 180 Days upon the official launch of the site.  I know I can give an excuse just about every single day, but I’ve had my turn so I’ll leave that all up to you. I know the site is up but I’m not sure about when the official launch will be so be sure to follow them on Twitter @ShoutOut2EatOut for updates and information.

I’d like to personally thank Chili’s for this opportunity to review their restaurant.  It really couldn’t have come at a better time for me, especially given the recent health experiences I’ve been through.  As an added perk, it also happened to be my husband’s birthday, so thank you for allowing me to not buy him a birthday present!
