When my firstborn was about one, he slipped and chipped his front tooth on the coffee table in the living room.  It wasn’t too big a deal to us since we figured it’d be falling out at some point but now that he’s five, that tooth is looking like it could use a filing or something just in the one spot.

He says it’s starting to come loose and is looking forward to his visit to the Tooth Fairy and he brushes regularly (he loves it – best nighttime stall tactic before bed ever) but his father and I are still worried that maybe there’s a cavity that would shoot up into his gums and cause him pain.

We take him for checkups every six months and he knows how to floss (we help) and like I said, loves to brush but when I was offered a chance to review and giveaway for EnvoraKids I was pretty eager to check it out.

Every morning before Jake goes to school he takes one with his daily vitamin.  He get super excited about it and loves to point at his teeth and say “See mommy?  My teeth are white and strong!” (more…)

Sometimes times I have super good luck (because I’m awesome).  I was just saying how I wished I had a second humidifier because I recently had my tonsils out and my doctor recommended that I use one to help heal my throat but my two and a half year old suddenly caught that nasty cold that has everybody coughing.  About two days later, I received an email from Vicks asking if I’d like to host a review and giveaway of their new Starry Night Cool Moisture Humidifier and asked if I’d also like to review the Braun Thermoscan Exac Temp Ear Thermometer while I’m at it and with Josh being sick I’d said you bet’cha!

And so they arrive (rather quickly, I might add – THANK YOU!) and I took the humidifier out of the box.  I’ve used other humidifiers before and I was a bit nervous because sometimes they’re tough to put together with a billion parts and filters but this one assembled in about two minutes.  My only problem was that I filled it up downstairs and carried the full tank up to the second floor and down the hall and if you know me, I’m not the most graceful person so I got a teensy bit wet. We’re getting so old.  Yep. We.  I refuse to say I am because every time I do someone tells me how young I am compared to them so I’m telling you all.  WE ARE GETTING SO OLD.

Remember when we were kids and nothing hurt?  Nothing.  I have scars and remember falls from years ago and just didn’t care.  It’d heal.

Then I got older.

Not sure how many of you know this, but I had a breast reduction a few years ago.  My tiny frame held a 36I cup bra.  That’s right – six D’s.

I’ve since had them taken down to a C+/D- but because of the weight and strain they put on me for all those years, I’ll always have shoulder and neck pain.  I’ve bought heating pads, tried various creams and pain a ton of money on massages that half the time left me in even more pain because my session would end just when they were hitting the right spot.
