CLOSED – Crayola & Perdue Chicken Giveaway! It’s AWESOME

So one day the doorbell rings and there’s my deliveryman standing there with a big old smile on his face.  He and I see each other often, as I am fortunate enough to be awesome at my job but this was a monster package.  This package was from Perdue.

Perdue, I like you.  I don’t just like you like you, I like you like you.  I had EIGHT BAGS of whole grain Perdue chicken nuggets delivered to my door.  I’m glad I have a lot of freezer space and I have to say, I don’t normally eat nuggets.  I buy them weekly because my children love them but I’ve never quite had a taste for them (unless I’m at a random fast food joint and I know I’m stuffing garbage into myself).

I LOVE THESE NUGGETS.  The first night, I made pasta and sauce.  I put the nuggets on the cool blue tray they sent along with them to use in the microwave that makes them come out crispy instead of soggy and I cut them up, mixed them with noodles and sauce and had an instant chicken parm.

I’ve made that about three times so far. (more…)

Closed: I’m Picking 10 Schools To Win 100 Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes Travel Packs!

Parents can follow other simple tips to start the new school year off on the right foot.  Dr. Sears, renowned pediatrician and author of more than 40 books on childcare, offers the following five tips to keep students healthy, from brain to body:

1.       Begin the Day with a Brainy Breakfast: Children who start the day with a “brainy breakfast” that includes protein, fiber-filled carbs, Omega-3 fats and minerals like calcium and iron, do better in school and have fewer sick days.

2.       Keep Hands Clean: The first and easiest line of defense against the spread of germs is washing hands often, but when soap and water are not available, antibacterial wipes like Wet Ones® hand wipes are an effective alternative. Wet Ones® antibacterial wipes are proven to be just as effective as gel hand sanitizer in killing 99.99 percent of germs but they also clean away dirt and messes and won’t dry out skin like alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Keep them around the house, in lunchboxes and in pockets. (more…)

Your Pet: Busted!

Well, I love my puppy.  And my kitty.  Let’s not forget my hamster so I love this new campaign that the AKC and ADT have put in place!  I was sent a bunch of ‘window clings’ to put my pet info on and I put them at the entries to my home and handed the rest out to my neighbors.

I travel.  A lot.  My entire family travels and while we have neighbors checking in daily on our pets, there’s just no telling what can happen when we’re out of town.  I couldn’t bear the thought of coming home to find a house full of memories burned to the ground but more than that, I couldn’t possibly stand the loss of my pets.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) and ADT Security Services have declared July 15th as National pet fire safety day to help save the estimated 500,000 pets affected in home fires each year. With an ADT fire monitoring system in a home, activated smoke and heat detectors alert trained professionals working 24/7 in one of seven interconnected monitoring centers across North America. They promptly contact a nearby fire department to report the alarm.

One of the hallmarks of responsible dog ownership is keeping pets safe and planning for unexpected emergencies. As part of this public awareness campaign we are pleased to distribute ADT pet alert ‘window clings’.

ADT is celebrating National Pet Fire Safety Day with a “Your Pet: Busted!” contest! “Like” the ADT Facebook page (www.facebook.com/adt),  submit your favorite “candid” photo of your pet and then get folks to vote for your pic. Or just browse the gallery and vote for your favorite. The highest rated photo could win you a gift basket full of perfect prizes for your pet (a $375 value), courtesy of ADT Pulse Interactive Services, a new line of home management and remote security systems from ADT.

The Johnsonville ShareYourVille Video Contest!

johnsonville meats

Hey there, everybody!  I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July for all of my readers in the U.S.A and for everyone else I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

My holiday celebration couldn’t have been better.  I live in South Carolina, where fireworks are legal to purchase and use.  Every year, all the folks in my small neighborhood donate money and the guys go crazy buying the best fireworks around.  Since it’s mighty hot outside at this time of year, the party usually starts around five o’clock in the evening.   To start, everyone sets up tents, tables and chairs and we even have a bounce house for the kids!

Oh, it was so amazing.  We had great people, tons of activities and fun and amazing food!   I was lucky enough to be chosen my Johnsonville to work on a very fun summer campaign that I’ll tell you about in just a little bit but they also provided us with some great grilling items for the festivities and coupons to try out some Johnsonville products! Photo Card Creations Custom Photo Card Giveaway! CLOSED

I wiped my address out, unless you want to bring presents

Congrats to Candice on your win!

Okay, now how cute is this?  My little man is graduating from preschool in May, but since my family is coming to sunny South Carolina for the Fourth of July weekend, we’re hosting his graduation party then.  Photo Card Creations graciously offered me to review the wide array of custom card creations they have like Birth Announcements, Graduation Cards , Birthday Party Invitations , Bar & Bat Mitzvah Invitations , Thank You Cards and Holiday Cards and I am so proud of my little man, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to show him off!

The picture really speaks for itself.  You choose the color and design options and can either choose the wording for the invites or use a template (which I did and modified) and now my friends and family who can and can not attend at least get this wonderful picture of Jacob and my email and address so they’ll always know where to send the presents!  :) (more…)
