Okay, so I planned on making a beautiful movie to show all of you and had it pretty much done then two things happened -
1- I have pneumonia. Again. It’s bad but they’re treating it aggressively because I’ll be really upset if I miss Halloween. It’s my favorite holiday.
2- MY LAPTOP BROKE. AGAIN! Everything I have is on there. I have it all backed up so I didn’t lose it but my backup PC is a mini that can’t handle the mighty power that I need to upload things. I managed to pull the things off my hard drive and use another computer but I can’t edit or anything. All it needed was like flashy lights or something. No biggie. It’s a great movie. Watch it.
As always, I like to give the company a chance to tell us their take on the product because they know about it better than I do -

Thomas! Thomas, Thomas, Thomas!
It’s like magic. Just say the word and children everywhere light up and flock to whoever says the word.
Thomas.
There is no love quite like the love children have for Thomas the Train. DVD after DVD – Toys and more toys, children everywhere never tire of Thomas and his Friends. Then we have the show. I love the show because some of the coolest guys on the planet were the narrators, making it a special treat for me. We had George Carlin, Alec Baldwin, Ringo Starr…the list goes on.
I also love the shows theme song, even though I can’t ever get it out of my head. It’s one of those songs I don’t mind because I love anything with a British Accent. (more…)
Yep. Just like they say, Poo-Pourri -”Spritz the bowl before you go and no one else will ever know”. No shit. I can actually say that because that’s the entire point of this review. The bottle is super cute and the only stress I had with it was that people would use it as an after-spray and over-spray my loo so I’m thinking about making a sign with an arrow pointing down saying “Pre-deuce only – spritz into bowl”.
After reading the bottle, it appears as though it was originally designed for dirty diapers. That’s also brilliant. I do have a toddler in diapers although I don’t want to waste the lemony scent of awesome on a poo diaper that I’m just gonna toss in my garage. It’s much better off being sprayed into the toilet before you drop one down. (more…)
Oh yeah. My kid is a rock star. I have to tell you a funny story.
When Walmart offered me a Paper Jamz to review and host a giveaway, I know my five year old would love it. Music is in our blood. My father can pick up any instrument and once he is shown the basic chords he can play anything. I sing and I used to play trumpet (yep) and a bit of piano. My siblings all have their own musical talents and my kids are already on their way to follow in our footsteps.
When my Paper Jamz air guitar arrived, I pulled it out of the box and Jake asked what I had. I told him I had an air guitar for him and as I was unpacking it he was screaming “Yes! I have a real air guitar!” and was actually playing air guitar. I found that hilariously ironic.
So I made him wait until after dinner (total motivation to clear his plate fast) and then we brought it out. It’s about all he does these days. Plays his air guitar. Walmart sells six styles that play three songs each but you can also make your own music and create your own jamz. I walked outside the other day and I found Jake playing and pulled my cell out to take a picture before he noticed me (the picture above). He’s a true rock star in the making.
Then he starts getting his friends to come watch him and I see him running into my garage and I yell out and ask him what he thinks he’s doing. His reply? “Come ON, mom. It’s a garage band. I’m going up on stage.”
Brilliant little five year old, eh? (more…)
