Your Pet: Busted!

Well, I love my puppy.  And my kitty.  Let’s not forget my hamster so I love this new campaign that the AKC and ADT have put in place!  I was sent a bunch of ‘window clings’ to put my pet info on and I put them at the entries to my home and handed the rest out to my neighbors.

I travel.  A lot.  My entire family travels and while we have neighbors checking in daily on our pets, there’s just no telling what can happen when we’re out of town.  I couldn’t bear the thought of coming home to find a house full of memories burned to the ground but more than that, I couldn’t possibly stand the loss of my pets.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) and ADT Security Services have declared July 15th as National pet fire safety day to help save the estimated 500,000 pets affected in home fires each year. With an ADT fire monitoring system in a home, activated smoke and heat detectors alert trained professionals working 24/7 in one of seven interconnected monitoring centers across North America. They promptly contact a nearby fire department to report the alarm.

One of the hallmarks of responsible dog ownership is keeping pets safe and planning for unexpected emergencies. As part of this public awareness campaign we are pleased to distribute ADT pet alert ‘window clings’.

ADT is celebrating National Pet Fire Safety Day with a “Your Pet: Busted!” contest! “Like” the ADT Facebook page (www.facebook.com/adt),  submit your favorite “candid” photo of your pet and then get folks to vote for your pic. Or just browse the gallery and vote for your favorite. The highest rated photo could win you a gift basket full of perfect prizes for your pet (a $375 value), courtesy of ADT Pulse Interactive Services, a new line of home management and remote security systems from ADT.

Baby Gifts are Yours for the Making with Makaboo.com

YAY, BABIES!

It’s amazing how it seems that everyone I know manages to get pregnant at the same time.  There will be a few months of regular life and BAM! Five women are expecting.

Everyone should know by now I can’t have anymore babies but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to review baby gear!  Talk about awesome, I get to have the joy of giving my expecting friends and family the best gifts on the planet for free!

When the folks over at Mâkaboo.com offered to have me review their product line, I was THRILLED with their timing. My cousin just have birth to a beautiful baby boy and he was born with medical complications.  He was a preemie with blood in his lungs.

Everyone wants to send along that perfect gift but in a situation as delicate as this, I wanted to send something truly special.  The offer to review the Mâkaboo.com line of personalized baby gifts came as soon as we knew our new addition was going to be okay and I wanted to send her something truly special. Oliver’s Labels – How kids’ stuff finds its way home!

It’s funny.  The exact same day I was contacted by Oliver’s Labels to review their product line, one of my friends was saying she wished she could invent a way to get her son’s name on everything he has because she always ends up sending him to a friends house to play or to school only to have him come home with something missing.

My thing is that my boys are five and three but they’re basically the same size.  They’re just at that point where their clothes still have to be separated but I can hardly tell the difference so one ends up tripping over his jammy pants and the other looks like I should put those glasses on him with tape in the middle because they stop short about an inch and a half about his ankles but he insists those are the pants he wants to wear to Summer Camp.

Well in sweeps Oliver’s Labels to help laundry and everything else in my world that much easier.  I’m talking everything, they make labels of all kinds.  Clothing labels, shoe, bag and mini labels for just about anything you can think of.   With my attention span sometimes, I should stick one on my forehead.  ;)

Home Farming – Join The Movement With Triscuit & WIN! CLOSED

Home Farming - Join The Movement With Triscuit

I don’t eat crackers, I’m not into chips and I have a limited cookie selection that I enjoy.  There is only one brand I can’t resist.  Triscuit.

My mother LOVES Triscuit.  My whole life, there’s always been a box around.  We like to put pepperoni on them and munch away.  If you want to have an explosion of awesome taste, take the Baked Whole Grain Wheat Rosemary & Olive Oil one and pair that with pepperoni.  *DROOL*

I can seriously sit down and have that for dinner and be happy.  It’s a hit at parties.  It’s what I buy for me and hide with the few other things I want people to keep their hands off of.

Recently, I was contacted by Triscuit to talk to all of you about the farming movement.  I was sent two boxes of Triscuits and a $20 visa gift card to give away to one of my readers.  Well, I’m giving the gift card away.  I already ate the Triscuits. (more…)
