Playful Threads – Couldn’t Describe It Better

So I was given an interesting opportunity recently and since I am an interesting girl, I decided to check it out.  This isn’t the type of review I’ve ever done before but I really am glad I chose to accept this one.  There’s a website, Playful Threads, that could not be named better.  The threads on this site are indeed playful.

This is one sexy, sexy website.  My first thoughts when I took a look were “Oh, my!” quickly followed by an “Oh, my…” (if you know that I mean.  The concept of Playful Threads is to provide women with sexy gear – from stunning  jewelry, sexy dresses, sexy swimsuits – sexy EVERYTHING.

Playful Threads is also intent on providing you with excellent customer service and will arrive to your home in discreet packaging with unmarked, plain packaging.

Now, since I have family who read my websites, I could exactly pick out the saucy stuff to show you, because I believe that if I review a clothing or accessory, I need to show myself in that item for the review.  Therefore, I chose from the jewelery section.  Let’s take a look at the lovely earrings I chose to get!

Hot, right?  I was always terrified to get my ears pierced but my sister finally forced me into it about four years ago so I don’t own many pairs.  I love these and feel that they’re versatile enough to wear both formally and casually.  Reasonably priced and shipped quickly, I’m excited to wear them out when I head to NY for my vacation later today!

Another exciting aspect of this company is that they have a blog, written by the Queen of Lingerie, talking about “all things soft, sweet and sexy.”

While I was browsing the website, it actually reminded me of my weight loss after having my second child.  Picking out a product from Playful Threads would have been a saucy way for me to show off my new, slimmer body and help to (hopefully) raise my confidence.

If you’re looking for a hot swimsuit or sexy dress for a club, Playful Threads is the website to visit.  The beauty of this site is that it doesn’t just cater to the weight loss I just bragged about, they also have a section for Plus Size ladies to explore.

I know this isn’t the type of website or apparel for everyone, but sometimes it’s good to take a walk on the wild side and see what good it may do.  To spice up your relationship or just make you feel great, you really never know how you’re going to feel unless you try it!  If you do, the time is now, because Playful Threads is currently offering a Free Shipping code: FREEMP  so head on over and take a chance.  Even if you don’t want the lingerie, check out the jewelry, it’s fantastic!

My Review Of Chili’s Bar and Grill

So here’s my story.  A while back, I was told I was going to have a major operation on my throat that would prevent me from eating solids for four weeks.  Just before that operation, Chili’s contacted me about reviewing their restaurant.  When I accepted that offer, my thought was to make Chili’s my first solid meal after the operation.

Due to doctor incompetence, for lack of a better word, the operation never happened.  Since I have THE BEST luck in the world (note the sarcasm),  I had an accident recently that had me on liquids for six days.  When I recovered, I celebrated my recovery by going to Chili’s.

I couldn’t have picked a better time or setting.  The door was opened for me as I arrived with my husband and we were immediately sat in a comfortable spot and offered our menus.  Shortly thereafter our server, Matthew, arrived to talk about the specials and took our drink orders.

I can say that in all of my dining experiences, I have never had service so excellent as the service I experienced that day.  Mind you, I go out to eat quite a bit, especially since I travel often and customer service is key to an enjoyable experience, so I know what I’m saying when I say this.

I’m a fairly simplistic person when it comes to eating.   I basically eat like a five year old.  Chicken tenders and fries.  Of course, I have to have the honey mustard for my chicken but I also need just the right kind of barbecue sauce for my fries.  Matthew was so intent on making sure I had the perfect sauce since I told him it was my first meal that he brought out several for me to try.

My husband decided to try out the ribs and I’ve never seen a plate of ribs so huge.  It immediately got the old theme song in my head, “I want my baby back, baby back, baby back ribs” and it was stuck there for HOURS, so thanks for THAT Chili’s.

To share with you their confidence in their restaurant, Chili’s is about to launch a brand new website called “Shout Out To Eat Out”

What this means is that Chili’s wants you to upload a 10-30 second video telling them why you don’t want to cook tonight and they will have a new $50 Chili’s gift card winner every day for 180 Days upon the official launch of the site.  I know I can give an excuse just about every single day, but I’ve had my turn so I’ll leave that all up to you. I know the site is up but I’m not sure about when the official launch will be so be sure to follow them on Twitter @ShoutOut2EatOut for updates and information.

I’d like to personally thank Chili’s for this opportunity to review their restaurant.  It really couldn’t have come at a better time for me, especially given the recent health experiences I’ve been through.  As an added perk, it also happened to be my husband’s birthday, so thank you for allowing me to not buy him a birthday present!

Healthy Balance is Old Orchard’s Reduced-Sugar Drinks

You see, I have a problem.  I’m actually a bit of a hypocrite considering the way I was raised.  Maybe it’s because of the way I was raised that made me decide to cut down, or possibly eliminate sugar from my kids lives.  Yeah.  Right.

As a child, my uncle worked for Nestle and I was swimming in candy.  It’s funny, because my cousins don’t really care much about it and I was around it as much as they were.  If I didn’t have something chocolate at least once a day I’m throw a fit.  It was my addiction and I needed to have it.  I still do.

I still do.

But with my children, my not wanting them to have sugar has nothing to do with the fact that it will make them hyper or up all night.  My problem with it is that it seems to make them arrogant and entitled.  It’s almost as though they flaunt it in front of me when certain people (ahem, mom) give them what they want most.

Sugar. (more…)

Eco friendly household cleaning products from Ecostore USA

I was recently approached to review some products from eco Store USA and couldn’t have been happier.  I’ve used and still use their products, but I was given the opportunity to try out a few more.

I have to say, as a mother to two very destructive little boys, ages 5 & 2, I have a very hard time keeping my kitchen table clean.  It was a gift to us and if we didn’t have children would be perfect and beautiful but unfortunately (for the table) we do, and they work as hard as they can to destroy it.
See, this is one of those tables that has the smoky glass on top.  It’s beautiful and I love it.  Well, I used to love it.  I was pregnant when it was given to us and my oldest was just turning three, so I didn’t think about what might happen to that table in the future.

Tiny fingers.  Tiny destructive fingers.  Not only do those adorable tiny destructive fingers like to smear whatever they can on the table, they have both developed a gift for making a mess UNDER the table on the opposite side of the glass.

Every. Single. Day.

I’ve tried everything.  I’ve gotten the ready to clean wipes, the various sprays.  Nothing ever works.  Their specialty as of late is Peanut Butter.  My five year old believes he is old enough to make his own PB&J’s for lunch and my 2 year old likes to shove his hand in the jar while it happens.

If I do find a product to get the goop off, it ends up leaving streaks or just smears the mess around the table.  That’s why I wanted to try the Citrus Spray Cleanser.  Let me tell you what happened.

It was unbelievable.  I’m not kidding here, it WORKED.

I sprayed the cleaner on the mass of nasty my kids left behind and let it sit for about five minutes, because I was taking pity on that poor cleanser for having to take on this task.   Well take it on, it did. I don’t use napkins or paper towels, because I feel its a waste, so instead I wet a dish towel, like I do every single day and I wiped it.  I WIPED IT!  Holy moly, it came off in one wipe.  I was so excited, I gave it a try under the table.  That came off, too!

In the past, when I found a cleanser that would remove the mess, it also left streaks behind.  With the Citrus Spray Cleanser, I noticed the spot I cleaned actually looked clean.  I was so excited, I sprayed the whole table and by God, you wouldn’t believe it but the table that had been tortured for three years looked brand new!

Of course, then we ate dinner…

But with that comes my second item for review, the Dishwash Liquid, with natural mineral salts and citrus oil to cut the tough grease and dried on food on your dishware.

I like this.  I really am glad to have this product.  I was thinking when I was using it on my dishes after I had cleaned my table, “These children start their meals on these plates, but typically finish them off that table.  If I’m using a powerful, eco-friendly cleanser to keep that table safe from harm and their little bodies safe from harsh chemicals, wouldn’t it make sense to clean their dishes in the same type of product?”.

This liquid does exactly what you would expect it to do, only you know your dishes are coming out chemical free and you’re doing your part for the environment.   If you have little ones like mine who start off their PB&J on their plate like you try to force them to, but they end up with those sandwiches on your table, make sure your items are clean and safe, you’ll be glad you did.
