What Propel Has Done For Me

propel

Normally, doing a review for flavored water wouldn’t be something I would consider but recently there have been some changes in my life and I need water more than ever.

Again and again, I tell everyone about the medical issues I’ve been having.  Well, I just don’t have it in me to talk about them again.  What I will say is that I was put on a very strict regimen of medication that I am to take three times a day-every day- at the exact same time.

Besides having to deal with the side effects of weight gain from all the meds combined, one of the medications prescribed causes dehydration.   There’s only so much water a person can drink without getting bored, and I’m a water drinker.

Did I mention the weight gain?  I know I did, but UGH.  I’m one of the founders of the fabulously popular Wii Mommies Community and it really is my job to be thin.  I lost a tremendous amount of weight and there is NO WAY I’m going through the humiliation I felt when I was heavier. Scrapblog Review and SHORT Giveaway CLOSED

scrapblog

Years back, when I had my first son, I decided to try Scrapbooking.  I bought every decorative sticker, border and paper I could find and paid a fortune printing out all the digital photos I took.  As my newborn got older, I had less time to scrapbook and by baby number two, I was done completely.

I hated the fact that I didn’t have the drive to create scrapbooks, because I always found them to be a wonderful gift to my parents around the holidays.

Then I found Scrapblog.

Scrapblog is free and signup is quick and easy. Creating an account grants you access to a ton of cool features!

  • Save, publish, and share your scrapblogs
  • Leave comments on other’s scrablogs
  • Create your own personal profile to display all your creations
  • Bookmark your favorite scrapblogs and view them at any time
  • Add other scrapbloggers to your friends list and find them easily

After registering with the site, I managed to make a great Scrapblog Photo Book in just minutes.  It’s literally all done in three easy steps.   After registering, I clicked on the “Start Creating” button and was taken to the area where your Scrapblog book can be created.  You have a few choices, you can start with a blank page and Build your own scrapblog from the ground up, start with a theme that is predesigned scrapblogs from our designers or use the option I went for and select to stat with Quick Mixx, which allows you to pick a kit and add your photos and Quick Mixx will layout all the pages for you. Every girl wants to be a princess. Walmart grants that wish. At Walmart every girl can be a princess for under $25.   Girls everywhere are talking about the new release of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog movie that comes out tomorrow, December 11 and all my friends are saying they can’t wait to take their daughters to see it.  Since I only have boys, I’m tagging along with my friends so I can feel like a princess, too!

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (Nintendo DS)

legens of zelda spirit tracks

Nine.  I was nine years old when Link came into my life.  It’s weird to think that 23 years ago, Nintendo created The Legend Of Zelda series.

My parents have always been fantastic about keeping up with the latest technology and so we had the first Zelda to ever come out.  I guess I’ve always been a gamer girl, I just didn’t realize it because it’s been in my life for so long.

I didn’t like too many different games, because I hate to lose and some of them just annoyed me but I remember spending HOURS playing Zelda, helping Link rescue Princess Zelda.  Here’s a fun fact – The name of the princess was inspired by Zelda Fitzgerald: “Zelda was the name of the wife of the famous novelist Francis Scott Fitzgerald. She was a famous and beautiful woman from all accounts, and I liked the sound of her name. So I took the liberty of using her name for the very first Zelda title,” Miyamoto (it’s creator) explained.

Now that I’m the parent, I make sure I keep myself and my family up to date with the latest technology, and I am a devoted Nintendo player.  Wii, DS, DSi- we have them all.  I love it so much I even co-founded The Wii Mommies website! Clarisonic Mia Review and Limited Edition Giveaway! CLOSED

MIA-back-group-final-warm lo resI hate my skin.  I hate it.  I’ve always had oily skin, which my mother tells me will greatly benefit me when I’m older, because I’ll get fewer wrinkles but I am so self conscious about the way I look that I wouldn’t ever let anyone (friends, boyfriends, husbands, etc lol…) touch my face.

A little while back, I had the opportunity to review the Clarisonic Plus Skin Care System & Spot Therapy Kit which was created by the primary inventor of the famous Sonicare toothbrush.  The Therapy Kit is pure heaven.  You can check out that review here.

If you read me often (or at all, which you must since you’re seeing this), you may know I travel constantly.  I’m either at a conference or headed back up North to visit my family and it’s a little hard to bring the kit along with me.  The kit is for the face and body, so I keep it on the charger in my bathroom and use it when I want to give myself the extra lovin’ I deserve in the bath or shower.

Lucky for me, the good folks at Clarisonic noticed the amount I travel and asked if I’d like to try out the Mia.  Here’s a product overview-

Make a “skinvestment” for the New Year with the new stocking-sized MIA.  Well suited for travel or everyday use, Clarisonic is offering free personalization and free gift ($65 value) with purchase if you order through Clarisonic.com.

Lightweight and compact, Mia gently and effectively cleanses your face at home or on the go. Mia is perfect for wherever life takes you – at the gym or while traveling. The one-button, one-speed, one-minute Mia offers quick results that complement any skin care ritual leaving skin looking beautifully healthy.

Mia’s unique compact pLink™ power link charger magnetically attaches to the handle and allows for a full 20 minutes of use.  The rechargeable brush is completely waterproof, making it perfect for use in the tub or shower.  Brush heads are interchangeable with other Clarisonic skin cleansing models. You can make Mia your own by imprinting the handle with your name or personalized message at Clarisonic.com.

This little cleanser is fantastic!  I can pack it in my bag and go and I find myself using it quite a bit lately, especially since my hysterectomy has made my skin worse.

Enough about me, it’s time to treat YOU!  Clarisonic wants to pamper YOU!  They are offering one lucky reader a Limited Edition Clarisonic! Continue Reading For More On The Clarisonic Mia
