Squeezi Tiki

0811091737

First, my dog gets lucky with his Nintendo’s Personal Trainer: Walking, since he now wears an activity meter, goes for walks and is generally more active.  Add to that now these two Squeeki Tiki’s sent to me by Pet Projekt, who provides fun and affordable modern pet products.

I surprised my dog (who was happily sleeping) by putting the unopened packages in front of him and having him pose for a shot (he’s a great dog – lab/chow mix named Tribute).

The Legendary Starfy for the Nintendo DS

Starfy

I must be the only mother in the world who tells her kid to “Hurry up and eat dinner so we can play video games”.    If we’re not playing Mario Kart on the Wii, we were sent the newest release for the Nintendo DS called The Legendary Starfy. It’s about Starfy, a popular character who after years starring in Japan has finally made his way over to North America, joining the ranks of Mario, Donkey Kong and Kirby and providing hours of fun for kids of all ages.

The second my 4 year old saw the game he was begging me to play it.  For the next hour, he sat entranced as his character swam, jumped and bounced his way through a variety of levels.  I heard shouts of “Oh, cool!” and “Look at this!” as he got his character to transform into different forms. HNI_0008

That’s me, with my four year old son, modeling my brand new tank from PeaceLoveMom that says “Carpool Candy”.  There were tons of items for me to choose from, but with this being my first summer in over five years that I actually LIKE my body, I wanted to try out their tanks and this logo seemed just perfect for this mom! Wii Sports Resort With Wii Motion Plus

wii sports resort

The newest (and coolest) game to launch from Nintendo lately is the sought after Wii Sports Resort, complete with the brand new Wii Motion Plus sensor.  Before I tell you what I thought of this product sent to me by Nintendo, I’ll give you some of the features and highlights of the game and Motion Sensor.

From Nintendo-

Wii Sports Resort is an immersive, expansive active-play game that includes a dozen fun resort-themed activities. It maintains the wide-ranging appeal that attracted millions to the original Wii Sports. Wii Sports Resort is easy to pick up and play, but comes coupled with deeper levels of play that are sure to challenge even the most experienced gamers. Wii Sports Resort whisks players away to a resort that’s full of action, while introducing an unprecedented experience in physical reality. Wii Sports Resort comes bundled with a Wii MotionPlusâ„¢ accessory to provide players the most realistic, immersive experience possible – the slightest tilt, turn and twist of the Wii Remoteâ„¢ controller is recognized. From the moment players skydive onto Wuhu Island, they’re presented with a huge selection of fun activities that everyone can play. (more…)

Imagination Movers – For Those About to Hop

imagination movers

That’s right.  Disney’s Imagination Movers took a little spin on the classic AC/DC tune and named their album “For Those About to Hop” and it ROCKS.

I just spent a total of 8 hours in a car with my husband and two children.  Four hours each direction to and from the beach.  In order to keep these children happy, I had to play this specific CD no less than fifteen times.  The kicker?  I didn’t mind doing it.

You can listen to one of the hits off the CD called Jungle Room by clicking on that link but I have to say my favorite song was called “Mother In You” because by the fifth time I heard it, I was laughing with my husband saying that mother’s can be smothering and we started singing “Smothering You” (without the kids around, of course) to ourselves.
