Gift Hero Review & Giveaway-CLOSED

gifthero

***The contest has ended but Gift Hero was so impressed with the contest turn out, they’re offering a discount to my readers!  You can use code FRIEND at checkout to get 15% off your first Gift Hero purchase!***

WOW.  How far technology has come.  Gone are the days of being forced to search for “the perfect gift” for a classmate of your child or a nephew you barely know.  Even for children you DO know, we are always struggling to find that perfect gift but don’t know if it’s age appropriate or something they’d find interest in, the beauty of modern technology is making your life easier.

Created by two NYC Moms (former corporate and non-profit executives) who became completely frustrated with buying birthday gifts for all of the parties to which our children were invited, they decided there had to be a better way – so Gift Hero was created!

Check this out, all you have to do is visit www.GiftHero.com and all of your gift buying is at your fingertips.  You can sort by gender, age or price and Gift Hero will help you select the perfect gift for a child aged 3-7.  Gift Hero designed an eco-friendly gift bag to eliminate the need to wrap your gift and find a suitable shopping bag to bring your gift to the party.  They also offer the ability to donate to a children’s charity like the Urban Horizon Head Start Program in the South Bronx, NY to help fund enrichment programs such as school trips. Tyson® Any’tizers snacks

tysontyson-anytisers

If you were stranded on a desert island with a fridge and oven, what’s the one food you’d choose to have with you?  Me?  I’d pick Tyson Anytizers® Honey BBQ Boneless Wings.  I’m not even kidding.  I am a firm believer that I should be able to enjoy the foods I love, only in moderation.  I’ve lost over 60 pounds by adhering to that motto.

My all time favorite indulgence is the Tyson Anytizers® line of chicken products, so when I was contacted to try out the new Stuffed Chicken Cordon Bleu Minis and Stuffed Chicken Pepperoni Minis, I was over the moon.  I buy Tyson products every time I go to the grocery store, so getting these two new products to sample and review was a very special treat indeed! Family Racing Fun with ExciteBots: Trick Racing

excitebots

If you’re a fan of Mario Kart, but are looking for a game that is more like an arcade-style racing game that keeps your adrenaline pumping, you’re really going to love ExciteBots: Trick Racing.  I’m a big fan of playing games on the Wii nightly with my family, and we play them all!

I get fit with the Wii Fit and EA SPORTS Active and we knock down walls with Boom Blox.  Now, we get to enjoy the intense, super fast game play that ExciteBots: Trick Racing brings to the table.

I’m not the best at racing games.  I loved going to the arcade back in the day and sitting down to play Pole Position (remember that?!) but find that anytime I try to play Mario Kart, I get my butt whooped.  The thing I like about ExciteBots: Trick Racing is that even though I’m still getting my butt whooped, it’s got so much action packed in, I don’t have a second to feel stupid or doubt my racing abilities! Smooth Away Your Money, Not Your Legs

smooth-away

I love infomercials.  I’m actually not allowed to watch them because I’m absolutely, 100% of the time convinced that I NEED THAT PRODUCT.  I once bought a lifetime supply of pens and lost them all within a month. I own (and love) the Scunci Steamer.  I bought Smooth Away.

I’m not what you’d call a “leg shaver”.  I avoid it at all costs.  I’m simply too lazy to do it.  Every day, to contort your body into all the different postitions to reach areas you’re not even sure you want people to see, risking dull blades or hot waxes in the name of beauty.  I’m not saying I’m a hippie with hairy legs, I just put it off for as long as humanly possible until either my husband complains that I’m catching up to him or I have to wear a skirt.

Well, summer is coming and with that means lots of dresses.  I’m not really into wearing shorts (lord knows, I’ve tried and failed there) but I wear a ton of skirts and dresses throughout the summer, so my winter “hibernation” must come to a close.

That’s why you couldn’t imagine my glee when I saw the commercial for the Smooth Away hair removal product.  “Removes Hair Instantly & Pain Free”  Can it really be?  I remember the days of Epilady and Nair, the agony of removing unwanted hair and the pain associated with it.  Could this be for real?
